CBD Superfood Hempé Stacked Sandwich


The holidays bring about lots of yummy comfort foods!

Many of these comfort foods contain meat and dairy, so it can be difficult to find holiday treats if you are vegetarian or vegan. Our @cbdsuperfood team has been finding lots of ways to create delicious seasonal recipes that can accommodate a variety of dietary needs.

This sandwich is inspired by @theyummyvegan and is a great way to satisfy everyone’s savory cravings!

Filled with some chickpea hempeh from @hempeplantprotein it is packed with warmth, flavor, and protein. Make a sandwich for yourself or slice up the whole pack of hempeh and share it with friends and family!

This recipe is quick and easy, but will feel like a decadent, nourishing meal after a long day!

CBD Superfood Hempé Stacked Sandwich

Ingredients:

- 1 package of chickpea hempé by @hempeplantprotein

- 1 can of cranberry sauce

- 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed

- 2 tbsp @cbdsuperfood coconut oil

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- salt and pepper

- sourdough toast

 

Directions:

Boil potatoes until soft. Drain and mash with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toast four slices of sourdough bread until crispy. While toasting, slice hempé into long, thin slices and grill until both sides are brown. Line toast with @cbdsuperfood coconut oil, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce, top with hempé, and enjoy!
