CBD Superfood Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
🌶We realized the other day that none of us ever really ate hummus growing up, but somehow it’s become a staple in our adult diets… and we’re into it.
This @cbdsuperfood roasted red pepper hummus was quickly devoured with some Smiling Hara hempeh dipped in.
Cooking tip: this dish is super simple, but if roasting vegetables is a little out of your comfort zone, you can easily add the red pepper raw, substitute it for another ingredient you love, or take it out entirely to make an equally delicious 5-ingredient, 1-bowl hummus.

- 2–3 sweet red peppers — roasted at 425 for 30 minutes
- 1 can of chickpeas (rinsed)
- 2/3 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup olive oil (or more as needed!)
- 2 tbsp @cbdsuperfood x @goddessghee golden spice ghee
- 2 cloves of raw garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and add sliced red pepper. Roast for 25–30 minutes, until soft. Combine roasted red pepper and other ingredients in a food processor. Blend together until creamy. Pro tip: for extra creamy hummus, remove the skins from the chickpeas. It’s a little time consuming but it’ll give your hummus a dreamy silky texture.
