In this crisp fall weather, a grilled sandwich sure does do the trick!
It can be hard to create delicious vegan sandwiches that have the yummy melt-in-your-mouth experience of a grilled cheese.
Thanks to our friends at @followyourheart this vegan gouda is super smooth and savory, and just as melty as a normal grilled cheese!
We filled ours with caramelized onion and grilled pear slices. If you want to feel extra seasonal, feel free to substitute the pear slices for apple instead!
CBD Superfood Vegan Gouda and Pear Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe
- @followyourheart smoked gouda slices
- 1 pear
- 1 yellow onion
- CBD original coconut oil
Slice and caramelize onion in a pan and set aside. In the same pan, brown pear slices. Slice bread and spread CBD original coconut oil on both pieces. Layer a slice of vegan cheese on top of the coconut oil, then pear slices and top with caramelized onions and another slice of vegan cheese. Place other piece of bread on top. Both coconut oil sides should be inside the sandwich. Oil a pan and toast on medium/low heat. Toast both sides, serve.
