Our mantra on this #mantramonday is: during each meal and snack this week, eat mindfully and slowly.
When our schedules are busy, it’s easy to fall into the habit of eating too quickly — but it is so important to slow down and truly listen to our bodies when we eat a meal.
It takes 20 minutes for our stomachs to tell our brains when they’re full, and if we eat too quickly we will have already overeaten by the time our brain gets the message that we’re full!
This vegan @cbdsuperfood x @eathempeh sushi with spicy almond butter dipping sauce is the perfect meal to encourage us to eat slowly. Take one bite, dip into the sauce, and chew slowly while you savor the delicious flavors!
It allows you to take pause before dipping in another piece. Eat immediately, or prepare the night before and pack some for a nourishing, mindful lunch to eat at work!

- Nori Sheets
- Smiling Hara Asian Miso Ginger (@eathempeh)

Slice hempeh into thin strips and sauté until both sides are browned. Thinly slice all vegetables. On a nori sheet, create a layer of sprouts and line with vegetables and hempeh. Roll the nori sheet and seal with a bit of water to make the nori stick. Slice into sushi bites.
@cbdsuperfood Almond Butter Sriracha Dipping Sauce Recipe
- 3 Tbsp. Almond Butter
- 1 Tsp. @cbdsuperfood x @goddess.ghee CBD Ghee
- 2–3 Tbsp. Hot Water
- 1 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
- ½–1 Tbsp. Sriracha
- 2 tsp. Soy Sauce
Stir all ingredients together until well-mixed, and adjust measurements to preferred taste.
*Tip: for a fully vegan version, use @cbdsuperfood coconut oil instead of ghee!
