Self Care Sunday II: Surrendering to Self

Author: Danielle Schoen Editor: Alexa Bonsey Self care is intimately woven into the fabric of my life. When asked to write this blog on self care, I first began thinking of the little rituals that are woven into the fabric of my days: journaling, yoga, reading, meditation, hiking, taking baths, skinny-dipping… As I reflect on each of these practices, I realize that they are meaningful to me because they allow me to connect to my true nature. These practices help me return to myself. When I spend time in nature, get lost in creating a meal, or find deliberate moments to dive into my spirituality, I am able to quiet my mind and connect to that space within myself that is...

Gratitude Friday VI: The Value of Accountability

Dictated by: Will Oseroff Transcribed by: Danielle Schoen Edited by: Alexa Bonsey Over a month ago, we committed to writing these Gratitude Friday articles every single week and today I wasn’t really feeling it. Honestly, I’ve been frustrated with how things have been going today and feeling kind of distracted and not able to get all the things I want done. It’s just one of those days. You guys have them. We all have them. Still, I’m feeling grateful. I truly am grateful for this opportunity. I’m grateful for every single person who has made a difference in my life and works hard each and every day to continue to make a difference. Some days I 100% take that for...

Mantra Monday VI: Happiness is a Choice

Mantra Monday VI: Happiness is a Choice Author: Joe Lizz Editor: Danielle Schoen Happiness is a choice, and today I choose it for myself. Last week, while talking to a friend of mine, our conversation shifted to outlooks in life and I mentioned that while I have had a lot of less than note-worthy moments in life, I have always had the mindset that happiness is a daily choice we make. Or we can allow the inevitability of imperfection in life dictate how we think and feel about ourselves in a negative way. So how do we...

Self Care Sunday I: Let us Listen

Author: Joanna Marquis Self-care. We talk a lot about it. Here, at Blue Ridge Hemp and all over the world. What is it? What does it look like for you? How can we make more space for it? In a fast-growing, entrepreneurial world we seem to have to show up for ourselves and our peers with more energy and enthusiasm than ever before. The energy to make our dreams come true. The energy for creating the world in which we will all (hopefully) thrive… Connect, network and support one another. Self-care looks like a lot of things these days. Yoga. Smoothies. Gardens. Long Baths. Naps. Yet, as I awoke this morning, laying next to my 4 year old daughter, I wondered...

Gratitude Friday V: Another Sauce Song by Aha Gazelle

By Will Oseroff, CEO & founder of Blue Ridge Hemp I’m mixing it up a little bit this week. In the past we’ve talked about different things I’ve been grateful for on certain days and different people that I’m grateful for. Today I want to share a song that I’m grateful for and have been listening to all the time, Another Sauce Song by Aha Gazelle. One of the things that I’ve done throughout my life is listen to songs on repeat. I listen to a song over and over and become attached to it. It becomes the soundtrack of my life. I started listening to Another Sauce Song on repeat right before Christmas and it’s almost out now, I’m starting to...
